About Benjamin W. Cramer
In 2009 I received a PhD in the College of Communications at Penn State University. I can be reached at cramer520@yahoo.com. My research focuses on media law and telecommunications policy, with concentrations in government transparency, intellectual property, and the political economy of communications. Environmental law is a significant outside interest.
In 2009-2010 I was a Visiting Professor of Telecommunications at Central European University, Department of Public Policy. During this assignment in Budapest, Hungary I taught telecommunications policy and global broadcasting law and conducted comparative research on European and American policy on mass communications content and access.
Currently seeking an Assistant Professor position in mass communications or public policy.
I also have nearly a decade of experience as a technical writer and trainer in the information technology field, and am a published writer on outdoor adventures and environmental issues in Pennsylvania. In my spare time I am an active local environmental volunteer and freelance writer, and an avid hiker and reader.
